Snow in the South

We don't normally get snow here in the south but it snowed!! Yesterday morning Kevin woke me up to see it snowing, it was so pretty!! It was snowing hard for a long time and the wind was blowing so it gave it the blizzard effect!

Update

It's still cold here, I think it's like 21 degrees at the moment. I so can't wait for Spring!! School is going well, I have my first test this week, tomorrow actually. I'm not ready for it, I need to study some more. I think I'm getting sick again :0( All I want to do is sleep and my head has been hurting more the past couple of days. I work today and then I'm off til Tuesday, I'm going to catch up on some sleep and the laundry. Guess I'll use that time to catch up on my homework so I can stay ahead on it. Everything else is pretty much the same.

The Weather

OMGosh, it is SO cold here. It got down to like 6 degrees!! The high for today is 29. I know for some people that that isn't to bad but HELLO! We live int he south, it's supposed to be warm! We keep going from decently warm to freezing cold, back and forth. I can't believe they are making the kids go to school with the temps so low, normally they'll close school, for some reason they think it's ok to go today.

My Exciting Day In The Lab

I had class today, this semester is my last one before nursing school, hopefully I'll get accepted. Anyways, I'm taking microbiology. Last Tuesday we looked at sample tubes of different kinds of bacteria. We learned how to take the bacteria and make cultures, my bacteria was bacillus, she told us that we wouldn't get our own cultuers back because the class before us would use them. Today we got the cultures back to look at them, some how, don't know how, but I got my own culture back!! I was so excited to actually get to see my own and that I had actually grown bacillus!! We took the cultures and had to make slides with them. We stained them and all that, it was interesting. Then we got to look at our slides through the microscope. It was so awesome looking!! The staining process was long, all the die washed off of my slide, or so it seemed but the bacillus had turned a bright fushia color, it's was way cool! I think I'm going to really enjoy this class!! If you want to look it up and see what I seen, it's Bacillus cereus.

Starting Back to School...

I start back to school today, I can't say that I'm excited cause I'm not! I'm glad to be getting it done but... Micro is going to be a long class, 9:10-12:30. Hopefully we'll get a small break during this class. I'm going to try to go a little early this morning so I can get a good seat. This class should be interesting, we'll get to grow things like molds, bacteria, ect. I looked through my book here while back and it looks so complicated. Anyways, it should be interesting, if not it will be boring as hell!
